Cars for tall people?

I’m 6’ and have long legs, I’ve always driven a golf but am getting back problems from not being able to stretch my right leg out.
Any other lanky whoers have any reccomendations for something with lots of legroom in the drivers seat? I’m guessing I’m going to have to look at a saloon, much to my Mrs chagrin

Get an MG Midget - every fucker I've seen climb out of one of those is at least 12 feet tall.

Buy a 2 seater or a 2 + 2 coupe.
Last three cars were a fiestia mk5 , bmw E46 convertible and now an Astra CC (hard top convertible)
All have very limited legroom in the back but loads in the front .
I struggle to get into mini cabs as they are normal cars usually.
Next car will prob be a Z4 M.

Any 4 door car will do. Just take the drivers seat out and sit in the back.

Remember in the 70s seeing a big fella loon about 6 6” converting a mini by replacing the engine with a Rolls Royce engine, ripping out the front seats and using the back seats to drive it. Worth a try.

I often fancied driving a 911 and would have chosen a GTS had I been in a position to buy one. When I had the chance to actually sit in one at a showroom at Bluewater, I found I couldn't get my head under the roof. All I could do was sit sideways and look over the roof. Was very disappointed.
Was almost the same with a Tesla model X, but I managed to fight my way in, where it was ok once inside.

I am 6"3'. The last 4 cars I have had are Mercedes S350, Toyota Rav4 and 2 Range Rovers. I fit in fine on all of them. I can get into my wife's SL500 but it's a bitch getting back out.
Mitsubishi Outlander and Legacy is good for us tall folk too.

Cough, Joe is right was called the beast but engine not Merlin, Meteor apparently.

I worked near here Fibre Glass Repairs in Bromley, Kent, fitted a fibreglass body and the car was named The Beast (mk1) back then and saw John Dodd pull up out side was showing a few people around it, was told it was a mini, but think that probably wrong.
Reminds me of a mate at school also fitted a V8 into a Ford escort van back then just for fun, would pull up at the traffic lights when a sports car had stopped reving the engine as you do. Would leave them for dust, they couldn’t work it out.

Yeah, the Meteor is a de-rated Merlin for use in tanks, it also has no supercharger, still a fucking beast though

When I used to have an old Saab 9000 (now there was a good car for tall people) the garage that serviced it also specialsed in souping up the engines.
He had a ludicrous 600hp track car and various other slightly less bonkers ones.
His silliest project was fitting a 450hp Saab 2.2 turbo engine into an Astravan. He showed me a vid if smoking a Porsche 911.
